Around five in the afternoon, the light over Simpson Bay turns gold, and the sixth-floor balcony is where you want to be. This apartment sits in Dolce Beach Residence, a beachfront property with the sand just steps below.
From this height the bay opens up wide, and sunsets become the evening's main event. Chill something in the fridge, bring two glasses out, and watch.
Inside there is a single bedroom and about 80 m², right for a couple. The kitchen is fully stocked with appliances, from oven and burners to microwave and coffee maker. Wi-Fi, a washer, a dryer, towels and bed linen are all part of the stay.
Earlier in the day, residents can use the shared pool set down on the sand, as well as the shared gym, which has spaces indoors and outside. A welcoming lobby greets you on arrival.
When the sun has gone, beach bars and restaurants are a short walk off, and the marina lights come on.

Getting here
From Princess Juliana Airport, head east on Airport Road towards Simpson Bay; it runs straight into Simpson Bay Road. Dolce Beach Residence is at 53 Simpson Bay Road, on the sea side, a few hundred metres before the Simpson Bay drawbridge. The drive takes about 5 minutes outside rush hour. Taxis wait at the airport exit, and our concierge service can arrange a taxi pick-up or a rental car for you on request.
